Right, so the site was down for a while. I’m sure everyone’s read the tragedy of the Decline and Fall of the Endorian Empire. It was pathetic, I feel like a chump, spent $45 on month of (crappy) webhosting, and am now securely situated at Netrillium. Web hosts go belly up all the time. You expect it. ![]()
The parts that irk me most are the $45 (since cash is tight w/ the whole new soap business deal), and the fact that I had just barely gotten everything installed and tied up at Endore. A month’s worth of tedious, annoying technical difficulties, only to turn around and do it alllllll over again. I SO don’t have that kind of time. ![]()
One nice thing came of this - no more middle man registrar. Turns out Endore was a puny reseller, and Key-Systems GMBH was my actual registrar. Now those people have customer service. They had me back in control of my domain in a matter of days, and hooked me up w/ a free account to manage the domain. I highly recommend them, if only because they cleaned up Endore’s mess with minimal fuss and red tape. ![]()
Plus, so far I’m really enjoying my space at Netrillium. Tentatively enjoying. I’m finding it hard to really relax and get comfortable. I only bought 3 months from ‘em, so maybe at the end of that I’ll live dangerously and go for 6.![]()
Enough of that mess! In between getting all that squared away, I’ve been getting serious about soap. Err, more serious. Sunday I got 1.5 pounds of Killer Beez made, 3 pounds of Absinthe. That’s not a huge amount, big time soapers are doing 12 pounds a day, not 4.5 a week, but it’s bigger than I’ve been doing so I’m pleased with this slow rate of growth. I ordered in my tubes for the sugar scrubs I want to debut, have 1/4 of them made, and am just waiting on a laser printer to get here so I can label the suckers (they’ve gotta be waterproof). And I am finally absolutely satisfied with a “logo” for Villainess, a real distinct recognisable symbol, so it’s going to be like “arriving” to print this on labels. ![]()

Plus, I’m consulting with Taryn over at OneInchButtons and hope to soon have some slick promo buttons. You know, like “real” businesses have promotional loot, t-shirts and junk. I want to have these printed on transparencies, so it’ll be the black silouhuette and deep red on a shiny aluminum surface.
It’s all terribly exciting. ![]()
And I finally feel good enough to enjoy it. I buckled and started taking the Clarinex the doctor gave me last August - teeny blue pill every day. I really hate being medicated that thoroughly, but this is the first February since 1998 that I haven’t had a sinus infection. So, “Yay!” for the little blue pills with minimal side effects.
note to self: add clarinex comments to a-h log
