Anthrofashion Interview!

An interview with Anthrofashion in which I manage to sound about twice as vague and verbose as usual (quite an accomplishment, I know). Great questions from a long-time fan! Everything you wanted to ask, here!

“Order something that sounds like you’ve never smelled it before; something that you can’t imagine being nice, something that makes you nervous, something you wouldn’t normally buy for yourself. Make it a little adventure, and have fun with it. Because we certainly do!”

To be… Coveted

We have been really fortunate to catch the eye of some truly talented writers this year! I wanted to take a moment to showcase their work before 2009 disappears entirely…

Sonja at The Coveted has done a wonderful series of articles where Villainess products were featured. An Oil for an Oil, non only covers Villainess Slick, but serves as a wonderful rundown of oil cleansing and how/why it works. It’s a great starter article with some equally great product recs. She also takes us Around the World in a Bottle, with a guide to the Elixirs of Love, and covers a very necessary handful of Beauty Solutions.

And Liza at Evil Monito writes beautiful lyric reiviews that are just as indulgent as the luxuries she covers. I enjoyed Trauma Perfume, Trauma Soap, and Smooch by Villainess.

Necessary Evils

AKA, “Needful Things.”

I was pretty flattered when the guys at Rue Morgue gave me a buzz. But when I sneaked a peek at the feature? The word is officially “stoked.” Bling bling, baby.

Threefold Favour

We have been getting mad press lately - I am simultaneously flattered and surprised. It’s hella exciting to realise our goodies are making their way out there. The best/worst part? Stumbling over new reviews means I’ve also discovered new reviewers. And reviewers = enablers. Just what I needed - more product recs! So, in the spirit of sharing, I bring you:

magicxmaid’s beautyfeed and a fabulous review of her haul. Dude, I see this stuff every day - Nicole’s enthusiasm had me wishing someone would send me a Big Box o’ Villainess.

Latest Beauty is one of the best beauty blogs I’ve encountered recently. These ladies are bringing relevant reviews, and answering my but-what-abouts before I can properly articulate them. Awesome resource. Check out Melissa P’s Villainess Review - none too shabby, eh?

And then there’s Product Fiend. This is a one-stop resource for every treatment, trick and product you could possibly need to achieve air-brushed perfection. Their coverage had me blushing.

Weird Stuff!

Weird Stuff reviewer, Rachel, has done a fabulous job extolling the virtues of our Jai Mahal Whipped! I highly suggest exploring her ‘blog, even if you’ve already converted. The writing is super entertaining, you’ll find it easy to get enabled by lost in her other features, and there just may be a surprise for attentive Weird Stuff readers buried in a certain review.

Paging all Mookychicks…

What is a Moockychick? All me to borrow a phrase or two…

Mookychick is an elite finishing school for the modern young miss of today. Make the most of who you are and suck as much of the juice from life’s pomegranate as you can. It’s obviously more important to make your mark on life than it is to bag a rich boyfriend or get in and out of a sports car correctly.

Mookychick is the blog destination for fabulous, independent thinkers covering style, beauty, career, health and relationship advice. Food for free thought? We thought that sounded apppetising.

We were beyond flattered when the inimitable Cassie Horlon covered Villainess for Mookychick’s March Health & Beauty column. Check it out, and scope out the rest of this awesome resource while you’re at it.
